"This course uses literature, history, the arts and the media to explore the development of America. Students will study the political, economic, literary, and artistic heritage with a focus on modern America. Current events will be used to study the most recent developments in our culture and history. Students will develop skills in writing, reading, research, discussion, and critical thinking through study of our American civilization. Students will also develop their abilities to work effectively with others as well as to work independently. Units of study are based on essential questions" (2016-2017 Eastlake High School Course Catalog).
Classes meet Monday through Friday.
